raise the bar. I'd rather find a Porsche GT1 somewhere for daily commuting, buy a McLaren to get groceries, Buy a bugatti for weekends, a Diablo to take up skiing. Aston for dinner outings, Hmmm, need a 4 door car too, maybe a bentley or Maybach - ah migh as well get both, one in silver, one in black. Damn, that's too many cars to buy. I won't have space to park them.

Turbo replacement is inconvenient on a 2.7 and AFAIK K04madness, aka, BostonS4, was having clutch issues? No install like this is going to go perfect, but a 10k investment in k04's is much better applied, imo, as a 15-20k investment into an MTM RS4 kit or something closer to 600 bhp levels. The 2.7 can be taken there, so why not do it once and do it right? For me, a basic turbo upgrade is something you should be able to do yourself with little custom work. I don't have your money or resources. This is my hobby. I'd rather do something myself than have another tuner's kit car.
But hey, that's just me.

I must have spent 12 hours putting my downpipes in this past couple days...

I'm like you though, I don't mind putting some time in and doing the work myself. It's much more satisfying that way not to mention you learn the car inside out.
