I'm not flaming you 8^) Iam just trying to get the facts straight. It just so happens that it was

your thread that I posted under. There is too much misinformation (sometimes for permotions of another product) going on in here. If it is untrue no matter who the tuner is I will try and straiten it out.

Nick Gustas 01-20-2003 12:43 PM

I figured that :) gotta watch where you aim that thing.

Trust me, I'm as sick of the disinformation campaigns as you are. More people need to get out and turn a damn wrench.

Blitzkrieg 01-20-2003 12:45 PM

Lol couldn't agree with you more 8^)

MichaelTM 01-20-2003 12:46 PM

are you CRAZY? It's freezing outside!

after reading all the crap about swaybars I actually want to try the stock bar again to see how it works with MTM full suspension.

But it's too damn cold, even in the garage!

:)

Nick Gustas 01-20-2003 12:50 PM

LOL :) I borrowed a centerless grinding shop last friday to change my oil and swapout

my worn swaybar bushings, man it was nice working in warm temps... Freaking 8F outside that night.

You should post examples 1, 2, 3 if they're out there...

we've sold more bi-pipes than chips almost and I've never had one call on a problem. It doesn't change the function of anything. If it's put on right there won't be a problem "caused" by it. It's aluminum instead of rubber and plastic...not larger, not smaller...

PLEASE, report specifics if you're going to state things like this. There is no place for the ole "I think I heard somewhere that...blah, blah, blah".

I don't agree it's a waste - otherwise I wouldn't have bought it - here's my justification

1st off, I want you to understand the BASE kit:

which includes:
- RS4 Turbos
- RS4 Turbo inlet pipes
- RS4 Airbox
- RS4 MAF
- RS4 Y pipe and Hoses
- RS4 Fuel Injectors
- Custom CNC'd injector adapters (made by AMS)
- All turbo mounting hardware
- RS4 Fuel pump
- AMS Software!

This is the SAME HARDWARE as the APR StageIII
the difference of course is the software.
<img src="http://www.achtuning.com/images/stage3/stage3.jpg">

In addition, here's the intake upgrade including
- RS4 Intake Manifold
- RS4 Throttle Body
- RS4 Throttle Body boot
- RS4 pressure pipes
- RS4 Fuel Rail
- All mounting hardware and gaskets

I bought this add-on for a few reasons:
1) No More rubber or silicon BiPipe
2) RS4 fuel rail -&gt; no custom injectors required, and rail allows for great fuel flow
3) Larger throttle-body allows for more flow -&gt; more power in the end
4) larger/smoother intake manifold

The add-on kit from AMS/Achtuning is supposedly good for quicker spool-up and a few more HP/torque....somewhere in the range of a cat-back add-on (stage 1-to-2)

As for some other's take on it? They've ditched the expensive add-on kit and reengineered their kit to add-on in other areas (exhaust manifold)....which isn't to say it's a bad idea, just a different area to invest your money on K04 add-ons.

If I had an exta 2k, I might consider those AWE manifolds - the reports seem promising and quicker spoolup is always a good thing.

I think if you combined both the RS4 intake mani, with a better exhaust mani, you'd have a nice combo.
