Stock clutch or RS4. I know I know.... STFA , shut up
I am going to keep my car close to stock and I have an opportunity to have the clutch replaced with no labor charges as Audi is going to be replacing my flywheel anyways under warranty work. I don't beat on the car TOO bad, and I'm not going to beef it up to a million horsepower, so do you think I should still go to the RS4 clutch?
I see the stock S4 clutch all over for around $430, I think the RS4 kit goes for like $490 or something? Anyone know of a better deal on either clutch? Thanks guys! |
shut up and spend the xtra cash for the RS4 PP

RS4, definitely. Stock-like feel and it holds back my 500+lbft with no issues.

If you're never going to race the car (Drag, or track), and...
you're only ever going to see maybe stage 2 (exhaust & ECU), the S4 clutch should be fine.
However, if it's out, you might as well throw in the better clutch if the parts cost is only 50-100 bucks... It never hurts! |
I like mine. (RS4)
got mine from ECS tuning, then the dealer dinged me $600 for a new flywheel.
|
just go RS4
|
definately rs4
offers very similar drivability to stock, yet it has, in my opinion, i nice pop and good engagement.
i've been at the strip on my rs4 clutch 4 times, with near no slippage. |
Do like I did

Just kidding. If you never plan on upgrading hp, stick with stock clutch for slightly less pedal effort.
