Sudden notchiness during 3-4 upshift? Anyone have this problem?
 

Have a '02 w/ about 5700 miles on it. Just yesterday, the feeling of the shifter changed. It's slightly notchier going 2-3, but the big change is amount of resistance going 3-4. It much more than it used to be. The 1-2 seems smoother, if anything.

The car is stock, no chip, no short shifter. All downshifts have been double clutched. I don't street race at all and haven't crunched a gear once. I have taken the car on a road course twice, but that was four months ago. Anyone else have the same problem?

You should probably press the clutch all the way in
 

If it doesnt grind, then its probably normal.

Dennis, I've got about 900 miles less than you on an 02 6 spd. Nothing yet, I'll pay attention.
