saw a white 135i today on the road.

looked like crap. it has virtually no character on the road! looked sort of Kia-ish....

there was a white MKV GTI behind it...which looked WAY more aggressive in every way....

after my test drive of it a few months ago, i was sure i really didn't like it too much...but after seeing one driving on the freeway, i'm certain i'm not fond of it.

right idea....wrong execution styling wise>>>>

but BMW has never been about style.....IMO

^^^This is pretty stylish, but an unfair argument.

^^And I think the 507 is super hot.

yep agreed>>>>

but...i was generalizing...there are a few homers they hit once in awhile on the looks....

Engineering wise, well that is a different story...

BMW bikes are awesome....except for two things...

Can you tell what they are?

Awkward shape, worst color...but it's so fast...and cheaper than a 3.2

Here's one I'd love to have.

Trekking across the mojave?

TwisTTer 05-07-2008 04:51 PM

I agree totally...but they have crossed into the tales from fugly crypts.

The design pre-bangle were passable with the center of focus being on the driving experience.

I hope the driving experience has been increased to compensate for the lack of style.

Nah, but I guess that'd be the bike to do it on! ;-)

Wouldn't mind trekking the major Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields on the East Coast, though. Pioneer style, of course, with tent, camp stove, solar shower, etc.
