where could i find a cheap used TT steering wheel (no airbag)>>>

i want to try and mod a stock TT steering wheel so it would be a little fatter and have bigger grips.. so the condition of the wheel doesnt matter since ill be re-stitching it anyway

I saw one on ebay 2 days ago, could be still there.

why not just use a wheelskin???>>

you would spend at least this much on a steering wheel....and you could cut this away if it is a problem

http://wheelskins.com</a

hans, do you have one of these?

in the gallery pictures...they don't look like they fit very well....if you do have one, how do they fit?

i have no idea why people would by 'two tone' ones..it looks completely wack. i was thinking of a perforated black one to go over my black wheel....but i couldn't bear the pain of bad fitment....

I've had one in my Accord. Definitely better Accord material than TT.

The perforated is actually kind of nice and their charcoal color perfectly matches Honda black.

However, for my TT, I'd splurge on a new wheel before a Wheelskin, even if the cost is 7-10 times more.

yeah, that's what i was thinkin...

i think these 'skins are more for stuff like accords, or some american cars which have really bad OEM materials on the wheel.....

It was definitely an upgrade from the hard rubber wheel before.

I wouldn't put it over a pre-existing leather wheel though.

i have done a few and it is the time to do the install correctly>>>

you need thick gloves to pull the heavy stitching tight...otherwise it looks sloppy...

Sal just did one in his car and he says he loves it...

ITALSKIER 02-21-2009 11:33 AM

thats what I did,to fatten my grip....I likes it.......

I had a wheelskin in my 2002 x5 and it fit like a glove... looked stock and felt great
