Yup, can confirm it works for me as well now in CA.

I can only download, however the installation stuck at 89% (California).

The case is still open so they’re not completely done yet. You can call Audi Connect support at 1-877-505-2834, select option two and then tell them you’re having issues downloading maps OTA from your car.

Folks, just wrapped up a call with Audi Connect support - they reported that Audi AG (in Germany) has resolved all known issues with OTA Map Updates via the in car MMI. They're closing these cases out for those of you that opened them - they also extended my Audi Connect trial an additional two months (I've had my case open for almost two months now) in consideration of these issues - I asked if they would do this in light of the time I've had to deal with the back and forth with them so you may have to ask too.

Where do you see the download option on the myAudi website? This is what I see.

How do I update OTA? When I go to the update page on the MMI, all of the options are greyed out.

They recently changed Audi Connect website. I guess you cannot use it on your computer anymore. Only smartphone access. Wouldn't be a problem except this maps update. The system inside of the car doesn't allow full update for all regions...

Correct, I just spoke to Audi Connect support and they are in fact saying you must update OTA. They acknowledge it could take me months to download the entire North American map update (since we're limited to three downloads per session and my Audit AT&T LTE is throttled to 512kb).
