Default Drive Modes - Air Suspension

I know when you're in efficient mode it lowers the height of the car when you're on the highway but it didn't look like it did that in Dynamic. Is this accurate? does anybody know if there is a way to get individual settings that gets everything from dynamic but the air suspension height from "efficiency"?

My experience with Dynamic is consistent with yours - it stays at the same height (second lowest) regardless of speed and conditions.
I don't know of a way to do what you're asking - have you tried keeping it in "Efficiency" but have the drive mode in "S"?
There's also some good information in a past thread if it helps at all: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...elect-2989936/

I'd love to see the logic diagram for the Drive Modes. Even the Owner's Manual (Page 99) is cryptic because it lists so many things that it claims will impact the automatic decision making:
1. Changes in temperature
2. Change in load
3. Change in road conditions
4. Wind resistance
5. Speed vehicle is operating at
6. Audi Drive Select Mode

Based on how the software works, I doubt many there have actually sat down to fully describe how the various systems should work and why.

From my experience so far, no factors (including speed, temperature, rain) affect the dynamic setting. The height stays on the second lowest setting and that's it. Maybe they chose that because air suspensions are supposed to be the softest at their lowest position. With Dynamic being the "sporty" option, perhaps they figured that would not be a good mix.

@Tronification the software engineer in me is dying to take a look at the etron software. Even the design flow charts would be fascinating.

Unfortunately for us. I believe that by now we have proven that the etron software is simply 2019 Q5/7/8 software with a few additional routines. I believe that we will get updated ICE converted software, but I am now no longer convinced that we Gen 1 etron owners will ever see BEV pure software on our etron's. And that is really what is needed. A ground up re write. It looks like VW has just admitted as much with their EV's.

Totally agree. We considered a Tesla and even had an overnight demo of a Model X. Ultimately my family all agreed that the Audi was better and is what we picked. That said, the reason (in my opinion) Tesla is so successful is because they are a tech/software company first and a vehicle manufacturer second. Audi/VW and others are vehicle manufacturers first - they know how to build a car. Fit and finish and quality is top notch. But their software and tech is weak. They just haven't built their company on writing code and developing cutting edge tech. It's hard to pivot any company to become something else and that's really what they need to do if they ever want to be more like Tesla. Not that being all like Tesla is great either - but bring qualities of the best of both together could make quite a BEV.

Agree - I had a VW Golf R before this and while I mostly don't miss my R, one thing I really liked is the 'Custom' drive mode where you could really customize the 'drive mode' to be the way you want. The individual model on this is silly compared to what was there. If the e-tron had the same customizability my post would likely not be needed because you would easily be able to choose the air suspension setting while keeping steering stiff, the accelerator responsive, etc.

Maybe this drawing helps. Found it in an e-tron self-study program that was recently posted in the German e-tron forum.

If I'm reading that right then it should lower in dynamic too, no? That hasn't been my experience though.

The way I read this, in Dynamic mode it goes from low level 1 to low level 2 once your speed reaches 140 km/h (=87.5 mph), then back up to low level 1 at 110 km/h (=68.75 mph).
