Default Bespoke S4 [AAN] downpipe & jig - [Ver 01!]

2.5", 304 grade stainless steel, new flanges and a de-cat pipe. [looks better on the inside at this stage!]

Anyone else want to play with the jig?

Mandrel bend that ****!! That crimp looks restrict-o-rific.

Internally it's true to form .... ie, as near damm it a 2.5" diameter, circular profile throughout the bend. [Remember it has a larger diameter de-cat pipe incorporated along the 'down straight' and a half round, forward facing 'stone guard' protecting the bottom bend]

It's hard to believe it could be much better as the torque increase is fantastic just as it is!

Any suggestions welcome though .... there's always a MkII version!

Default Looks Great!

Nice looking part! I had a custom downpipe done for my 20v urq yesterday at a shop up here in the Seattle area. They did nice work too. Mine's also 2.5" and starts with the stock 3b flange.

Default One thing I still can't live with is the lack of...

torque in low rpm's. Every car I've owned so far could be rushed out of U-turns in 2nd gear. Try that in my S6 and what happens is... nothing! It takes 10 seconds to regain speed. I know I should chip it, de-cat it and perhaps get some bazooka downpipe like that, but until my wallet recovers from new wheels, tires, samco's and a lot of other little mods, I'll just have to practice downshifting to 1st gear!

It does look great. I was concerned that narrow section would kill all your hard work with headloss

You have to remember its 3800 lbs with a 2.2 L engine. Off-boost = 2.2L; on = 4.2 L V8
