cd changer question-i've STFA

I have a 93S4 with the prewired cd rectangle harness and I just bought a8 pin AUDI changer. square peg/round hole, has anyone found a adapter?
lots of discussion in the archives but I couldn't find THE ANSWER. help.

you might need the silver transceiver box. is the changer you bought a 10 disc?

Your and most UrS cars use a Blaupunkt/Sony 10 CD changer, & a transceiver that is unobtainium..

See link below. You can either try to find an original Audi unit, or one of the equivalent Sony changers. i have a complete set that I don't need that I would be willing to trade for some cash.

includes the carpet panel, bracket, transceiver, and working changer.

sorry for not including that. it's a 6 disc. after STFA I didn't want to have to find the magic box, so i got the 6 disc. I believe it the Alpine model.

d*mn, i'm all about trading cash for stuff I want/need. unfortunately I already bought the 6 disc. thanks for the offer though.

The Alpine unit only works with the later S6 head/control unit. Not the S4 head unless...

you can find a silver transceiver box and then it MIGHT work. The Alpine was built to ONLY work with Audi and only the later S6 unit (without the transceiver box). With the transceiver box, you might be able to get the two to work (MAYBE)
