HELP! BOOST LEAK BIG TIME

Every time i bring the RPMS around 4500 my turbo just cuts out and I lose all boost. This is then followed by the check engine light temporarily coming on and then going off again. I have no idea what to look for. Please help.

This sounds suspiciously like at TAP wastegate spring-induced overboost problem. You need to...

Pull the codes (search the archives or go to SJM's audi website to find out how) and/or go to someone with the proper VAG tool to read the codes. That will be the start. I can't tell you how it will finish. (Too many variables).

pull up some codes like UrS4boy said.

then check under the wire cover, near the back of the firewall, pull it off, and see if the hoses closest to the brake fluid reservoir has popped off.
