How-to integrate an aftermarket head unit with stock Bose components
This is next on my list to deal with but until I read this I thought I would have to either:
1. perform the Bose-ectomy
2. put the stock stuff all back in (car did NOT come with a changer either, which sucks)
Any thoughts?
Thanks
1. First off, I just spent a few hours reading about Alpine's Imprint Technology. Have you done this yet? I'm REALLY interested in this.
2. You don't mention the subwoofer output on the back of the gamma, why? Do you assume that people will use a non-bose subwoofer?
3. Can I use the factory subwoofer?? Would I need one more GLI?
4. I have an avant, which uses some goofy AMPLIFIED antenna, which has failed. Some sedans apparently had diversity tuning, which means they had two antennas. I'm not sure what is going on here, could you shed some light on what I'd need to hook up my antenna?
I'd really really appreciate your input.
Thanks!

what about requirements to keep the stock head unit and replace the factory speakers and amp? this is what I would like to do, I rather like the old factory HU but my speakers are getting lousy

Can you update the photo's. The text doesn't quite give enough info to do without your diagram. I have it all wired up except for the amp turnon. Where does that go? I thought maybe it was pin #6 on the PreOut Harness labeld "RC" but that isn't working.
Anyone else know where it goes?
