I loved this 3.0T, but I am not the person to handle the engine issue. Are you ?
The Good
- Prestige trim — see photo with full manufacturer feature list
- Color: Phantom Black pearl effect finish, interior Amaretto
- Supercharged 3.0T / Quattro AWD / 6-speed auto
- 125k mostly highway miles
- Excellent body — no rust, handful of 0.5-2mm chips or dings
- Interior in excellent condition, handful of small blemishes
- New brakes front and back
- Barely used new battery
- Tires are at 3-4mm
The Bad
- Engine has coolant-to-oil contamination: significant coolant has entered the engine oil but NOT oil in coolant which suggests NOT head gasket, perhaps oil cooler seal. This is a known failure point on the 3.0T.
- The engine runs smoothly when turned on for a minute without letting it get warm (since low coolant), click for video of sound and engine bay. But should probably not be driven as-is.
- wheels are scuffed, see picture.
- rear windscreen inside tinting is bubbled.
- The hard-shell panel on the back of the drivers seat is a bit loose.
- front right bumper attachment aided by one visible bolt.
VIN is at top of the dealer sheet in last pic and in the dealer info sheet pic.
Summary
Great candidate for someone who can do the engine job themselves or wants all parts of the car. Everything else on this car is solid. The 3.0T/Quattro/Prestige combo is worth saving.$1200 Cash, or make me a reasonable offer. Sorry not interested in trades or parting out. Located in the San Francisco area.
