So Quattrings, did you actually get the grill installed? On at least one of the ebay listings it said to tell them if you wanted the camera mount or not. But additionally, I now see what you mean about the parking sensors. I had to go out and look at my car. The mounts appear to be about two inches too high on the grill. So did you just skip them? I guess otherwise you'd have to drill out a chunk of the crash bar.

And is that the grill on the car in your avatar? The pic looks almost identical to one in this ebay listing:

And also, what about a US license plate mount? Any ideas on that? I need to have the front plate installed. The sto-n-sho is not my thing.

Here's a pic installed, but no PDC obviously until I get what I hope will be the proper fix completed next week. I'll post the PDC remedy here if it works. I don't want to alter the car in any way to get it to work though but I have 2 options in mind, so I'm hopeful. The grill does come with the European plate holder so possibly you could alter it somehow to use it as a mounting piece for a US plate. If you can get away with it (or risk the fix it ticket) I'd say leave it off because it covers so much of the grill. I understand that wont work in some states. I apologize in advance for the blurry pic, I was in a hurry to get to dinner....

^ That seriously looks amazing. The front end looks so much more aggressive and sporty now. Please do let us know about your progress on the potential solutions. Thanks for being the guinea pig here!

Thanks so much, but have your dinner. The grill looks great. I'd love to have one like it on my Navarra Blue SB. I'll skip the license plate as long a you promise to bring your leftovers to me at the county lockup. :-) Around here there is so little crime that law enforcement always has plenty of time to stop you for a missing plate. Maybe I can use the plate bracket that came from the factory.

Keep us up to date on the fix progress. I'm actually a little bit surprised the Chinese missed the parking sensor issue (a little bit).

It sounds like your county is serious, we cant have our fellow forum member locked up for having no front plate! lol I don't know that any amount of leftovers would make up for that one! We'll have the PDC worked out soon, hopefully I'm thinking by mid-week.

To me, the installed look Quattrings has is worth modifying the aluminum impact bar. I already knew exactly what to do to make the sensors (and connectors) clear it.
Now the issue with the parking sensors not clicking in place properly into the RS replica grille, and the front camera not being able to just mount right on are beyond my patience!
If we can figure it out, I will slap it right back on.

Quick update for you guys. Just received the new sensor(s) and giving it a shot in the grill. As you can see from the pic, the connector exists to the side rather than the back. Will it be enough saved space to fit without modification(s)? And will the system work the same with a different VAG part? Those questions will be answered shortly - hopefully PDC is happy.
