Good day - I _just_ bought a brand new A4 40-TDI Quattro Avant with virtual cockpit + MMI. Everything has been working well for 400 kilometers. This morning, the MMI did reset itself 8 times over the course of one hour. It worked for 6 or 7 minutes, shut itself down, came back after 1 minute. It eventually failed to come back online, then virtual cockpit started to warn me about other systems failing (traffic sign recognition for instance). Before I take it back to the dealership, I'd like to give it a hard reset. Would anybody know how to perform that? Do I just disconnect the battery for 10 minutes? Thanks!
Have you tried initiating a reset of the MMI yourself by pressing down on the volume button on the center console and holding it down until you see the "Initializing" message?

Try to hold the volume **** down at LEAST a full 10 second.
the MMI screen goes dark after holding a few seconds, but there is another “harder” re boot triggered by holding the button longer in many versions of Audi.
