Electrical System: Fault. Safely stop vehicle
A few days ago took in my car for its first service and once at it had a software update (Service campaign: 93N1 - S-Software update for remaining range display)
Knowing my luck that same evening I got "Electrical System: Fault. Safely stop vehicle" error.(see attached photo)
The next morning I could not drive the car got it towed and its now at the Audi workshop being checked.
Has anyone else got the same error? and if yes what was it all about?
Looking forward to hearing from you
Have a great day
Malcolm

The entire front motor needed replacement (due to a common coolant-leak issue you can find discussed here on old threads).
It took two weeks at the dealership to repair.
It has been fine ever since.
We have spoken about this in other topics, but Audi NA would be well served to have a mirror server in Herndon VA. If a simple software update could take thirty minutes instead of one day, that would make everybody in the cycle happier.
My 93M3 update required two visits as the first day long visit there was too much latency and my MMI kept disconnecting.
The second visit weeks later was fine and the software update took about a half an hour after the handshake succeeded.

The car was drivable. The recovery track came, the driver drove the car up to the truck and it went away to the dealer. Friday evening came and the dealer phoned me saying the Switching unit for high-voltage battery (SX6) is faulty. They will order a new one on Monday morning, hopefully it will be here in day or two, as I am in Hungary, very close to the mothership. As this (SX6) is part of the HV battery, which is guaranteed for 8 year (till 3.5 years to run), this will be done under guarantee, free of charge.
FYI: Here is a tear down video showing how SX6 is mounted on top of the battery, and some of its internals:

I'm contesting their point but interested to hear how some people have had it accepted as being part of the battery warranty which is 8 yrs,
If anyone has any info or guidance on how to proceed it would be much appreciated.
