Q3 service HALDEX?
Hello-I am being told by the local service department that my Q3 with 26k miles is due for something called HALDEX(all wheel drive) fluid exchange. The price quoted to me is $650 for this service.
Hoping someone here with previous experience with this type of service can provide feedback.
Any information/specifics would be appreciated.

I've got my haldex three times. The manual says service every 3 years regardless of mileage. First time done by dealer, and I don't know what the cost of that service was as its bundled in the Audicare. Second time was done by independent euro specialist, they just drain and fill I don't think they removed/clean the screen but I may be wrong - that was $160. The third time, VW specialist, they drain, remove filter and clean filter/screen, fill. That was maybe $300ish i don't recall exactly.

I removed the screen and 'cleaned' it, but it had nothing on it of any significance. Maybe next time I'll get the kit with a new screen.

Does anyone performing a DIY Haldex service on the Q3 (mine is a 2019) have trouble doing this on ramps or jack stands? Just wondering if this is frustrating without a lift.
