Audi A8 D3 Rear Door Issues
Hi All.
Happy New Year!
It has been a while since I posted on here.
I could really do with some support.
Today I replaced my rear door on my Audi A8 d3 as the one that was fitted had several dents which was to much money to get repaired. The donor car is from year 2005 and mine is a 2003 and the new door came with everything fitted, handle, lock, window motor and Bose speaker. I fitted the door and then started the car but the window would not work and the door will not lock. I scanned the car and got an error code 01333 issue with rear left door control module (J388). Does anyone know if I need to code the door to my car? If I do does anyone know how to do this? Thank you so much.

I have swapped over the window motor this morning which I believe also has the door module integrated into it and it did not work.
Do you think the lock actuator also needs to be swapped over?

I have retrofitted door handle light few years ago and bought a door wiring loom from a 2006 donor car . My car is 2003 A8 and once I have swapped the wiring loom nothing works. The reason is the loom wiring is totally different . If you look at the old wiring loom and the new one you have fitted from the donor car the pins location is totally different. What you need to do is take your door wiring loom from the 2003 door and fitted to the new door. The wiring loom is the one fitted to the B pillar not the door card loom.

I have swapped the wiring loom from the old door to the new door and everything thing works. The only issue is that the door keyless door handle won’t lock but it will open. It must be a broken button on the handle.

Keyless door handle is a pain. If they are faulty the car wont go to sleep and drain the battery. After you have locked your car make sure the red warning triangle hazard light above the center console switch off in about 30 seconds if not you have to replace the handle.
