Piston skirt @ 60k - keep or trade?
The bottom line is I've lost confidence in the car. I really like it, great combination of performance and features, but I need reliability and don't want to face a major repair out of warranty (hybrid system, timing chain, etc). I've had numerous Audis and had good luck up to around 125k miles and would like to keep this one that long, but it looks like Audi has lost the plot when it comes to quality.
Should I keep it a while, or get out while I can and find something else?

As I understand Audi sent out a letter to owners in the second half of 2025 notifying them of warranty extension.
I obviously didn't get it as I purchased the car around November.
For owners that didn't receive the letter for whatever reason, is there a way to understand if they are covered?
Anyway, the car sounds fine now and drives normally. It's too soon to tell if I will see increased oil consumption (or any other problems). I'm still on the fence about keeping it as I don't have an extended warranty and I know how expensive unexpected repairs can get.
For anyone else, when you get past 50k, keep an ear out for this issue; I suspect it will be pretty common.

When I first called the dealers attention to the sound, they knew what it was right away. If you're under 80k.miles, it should be covered, just have the dealer diagnose it.
