This post is for those who want a spare tire in their second gen Q7 and want to save a few bucks. Apologies for not tagging someone else's original post on this, but I couldn't find it.
I went with a used collapsible spare from a Porsche Macan, part number 95B601027B. I found one near me on FB Marketplace. Options from other make/models may be out there, but key numbers are bolt pattern (5 x 112mm) and center bore (66.6mm). The other big issue is brake caliper clearance. Yes, rolling diameter is slightly smaller, but this is only to get me to a tire shop or home. Other more expensive options are around, such as EZ Spare or Modern Spare, but they are much more expensive and larger to store. Great products, but I went a different way. I tested the spare on the front axle and it clears the calipers just fine. Lots of clearance on the rears as well. I found a bag (Christmas wreath storage bag!) on Amazon for a few bucks and am good to go. The bag will need to be handled carefully, but it helps keep the compartment clean from when I throw it in on longer trips.
And yes, I fit a scissor jack, breaker bar, socket, rechargeable air pump and plug kit in around the subwoofer under the rear deck. Although I still would preferred a factory solution, this solves the issue for me. Pictures are on a 2022 Q7 55 3.0T Progressiv Quattro.

 

I have the EZ spare and it does take up a lot of room plus it’ is heavy. Also you have to perform magic to stow it if you want to use the third row seats.
I like yours but I would be afraid of the different circumference.

 

Some Q8s got a collapsible spare of similar design, but appropriately sized for a Q8 (and by extension, Q7). The wheel is 20x6.5 and the tire is a 195/70-20.

No clue if they clear the SQ7 caliper. I would assume so, or else they would have just used a smaller wheel, but I have no way of knowing. The rolling diameter is within 3% of stock SQ7 size, so I wouldn't expect a short drive to a tire shop to cause any mechanical issues. The part number appears to be 4M8601010F, but I am unsure if that is for the wheel alone or the wheel/collapsible tire assembly.

 

Are you guys just throwing the spare in the cargo area, or are you deleting the 3rd row to stow it underneath?

 

This has a 755mm diameter. 2.5mm short of a 285/35/22. From an Etron. 195/70/19. Only problem is the jack doesn’t fit nicely inside.

 

I just picked up a Q8 spare and an EzSpare jack and lug wrench. Figured...no spare, no jack, no lug wrench.

I looked at the Macan spare tire option, but that wheel and tire are smaller than the Q8 spare. The Q8 spare matches the Q7 tire size.

Also got a wreath storage bag and a tool bag that will insert into the spare tire wheel.

Car itself is arriving on Tuesday!

I was hoping to get the SQ7 sway bars installed this coming week, but it's not shipping for another week or so...

 

Car arrived on Tuesday. Put a couple of hundred miles on it. What a glorious vehicle. Quiet, powerful, just a joy to drive. We are going to eat miles with this beast.

I picked up a new Viair compressor, one with a digital display. It came with a canvas bag, and it fits perfectly where the OEM compressor is located. Now I'm waiting for the jack and toolkit, and tire cover. Wife didn't really understand the whole spare tire in the luggage area thing. Oh well.

Next up, the SQ7 bars and my Valentine G2 install. Permanent mount, next to the mirror on the right side.
