Default Another good charging option

Read an article in Inside EVs, thought to check them out on our trip last weekend. Total non-event in best way possible. From QR scan to charge start was < 15 seconds. Started charging right after activating with their app at 140 KW, ramped to 170, stayed there until the car backed off, unlike my last tries with EA. Pricing was substantially less than EA ($.45/KWh vs $.59), with additional discounts with various memberships (e.g. WM+). As stated in the article, the only 'whoops', was getting NACS/CCS cords backward (NACS belongs on left side of the tower to allow easy back fender plug-in, consequently the e-tron needed to back in for easiest access. Cable was chonky, but had the arm to minimize wrestling much like Ionna. Clear display on progress, receipt visible in app, or emailed. Supposedly direct card swipe is also coming. In FL, Tampa/Pinellas area seems to be getting lots of deployments with 8 towers for the places we went. Once they land in the more rural areas, it should make road trips easier - there is value in ubiquity,

All of the Alpi and Kempower using CPO's have figured out that reliability is the key factor. Hopefully we see a lot more of them in the future.

One of the greatest mysteries ever is Electrify America's silent pilot program with using Alpi's. They announced it over a year ago. Installed three stations and have never mentioned it again.

Not to go off into conspiracy theory rabbit hole, by EA seems to be run in a way to sour people on BEV experience. Spotty service, high prices, random charging session restarts, tower queues and location choices to make the experience as unpleasant as possible, at least in the SE US. EC seemed a couple of notches better. Having alternatives that actually work makes traveling so much better.
