How far can you get per tank?

I'm considering a Q7 or 8 to replace my A6. I know it won't be close on range but what are you folks getting?

25mpg x 20 gals (leaves 1 gal reserve, which is below empty and 0 range warning, ignore it) = 500

Our 2018 Q7 and 2013 A6 are fairly close in fuel mileage. The 2013 A6 will do a slight bit better and with the sport suspension handle like a scalpel and feels sooo much lighter. The Q7 is much heavier and no where near as nimble, but is much more comfortable to drive. The car I can rip with and get 30 MPG, the Q needs to be driven easier but will still get 30 MPG. These are dash figures and actual will be 5-10% less hand calculated depending on conditions. I've seen 38 on the A6 and 32 on the Q7 short term before on 1 hour runs to work using dash figures before on both with the AC off on a cool day using 10% ethanol fuel on both. More often than not the Q7 will be around 27-28 and the A6 will be 28-29 on the dash figures long term between fill ups of me.

My 2019 gets about 19-20mpg on average long term. My driving is about 60% suburbs and 40% highway. I can get up to 26mpg or so on a long highway stretch just cruising. I drive in Dynamic and Sport mode all the time and really don’t care about fuel economy. I didn't buy a heavy supercharged vehicle for the fuel efficiency. I consider my lack luster mileage due to the "smile tax."

400 miles is when I normally fill up. Winter can be as low as 350. Roadtrips can get close to 450.
