New Q7 finally presented

I get why it's the case (EU vs US regulations and the intended markets of these vehicles), but it's so upsetting to see huge power bumps for the Q7 when the A/Q/S5 get hardly any improvement in power when already underpowered compared to their class. The S5 couldn't even get 15 full horsepower to make up for the 300lbs jump while the Q7 gets bumped up to the RS5 engine and the SQ7 makes as much as the outgoing RSQ8.

I'm impressed! I'm not a fan of the dual headlights up front but I think it looks pretty good on the Q7. Some of the new features are...perhaps unnecessary and won't be used. But others are definitely luxury car needs and are appreciated. Like the guy says, the wide bezel on the driver's cockpit is odd. The seats, and this is very subjective, look luxury car proper. I like em. The matte wood is pretty. I like they are moving away from piano black trim.

So there is a natural aversion to change and a bias towards our own vehicles. I own a 4M and think it has aged well over the years. It's a typical Audi design that isn't overly showy and might not pop at the time, but it ages gracefully. Similarly I do remember when it came out that some car magazine reviewer felt it looked too "blah" and minivan like!
I do like this design though as it's striking but not over the top. Some neat external features that will likely make it feel like a true luxury car.

The 2027 Q7 eliminates that concern entirely, as its sole engine option is now a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 good for a healthy 429 hp and 442 lb-ft. For those keeping score, that’s a 94 hp/73 lb-ft boost over the current Q7’s V-6 and 168 hp/169 lb-ft over the miserly old four. Audi’s claiming a 4.8 second 0–60 run, 0.7 second better than it estimated for the current Q7’s V-6. Is there a fuel economy penalty? We don’t know yet, as neither Audi nor the EPA have published fuel economy figures.

The thing I really, REALLY don't like are the turn signal "pod" and the gear shift "lever". They are just bad, and utterly horrible design choices that look gimmicky and cheap.
