DRL setting a5 b9.5 problem
Hi güya,
When I unlock my new to me 2020 b9.5 45 tfsi quattro the drl animation plays, the lights stay on for 5 seconds or so, then it goes off.
Is there not a way to have them stay on? I have an obdeleven and have tried for hours with gpt and gemini but cant seem to find the solution unfortunately.
My battery is good and when it's dark the lights do stay on.

Are you saying you have no DRLs at all in the daytime while driving? Isn't that just a setting in the settings in the MMI screen? That's my recollection - that they can be toggled on or off. Been a while since I looked.

I just checked in my 2024. Under the main menu box "Vehicle" is a subheading "Lights & Visibility". Under that there is a subheading "Exterior Lights" and under that is a toggle switch to turn the DRLs on or off. Do you not have that?

OK, so I wasn't fully understanding what you were saying. I can check, but I assume what you are describing is normal operation. Mind if I ask why you would want them to stay on if you are not starting the car right away or going anywhere? It would be normal for a nonrunning car to have its headlight time out after a short period to not run the battery down.

Mine behave the same as yours. They do their little dance (might be a Prestige thing, not sure) and then stay on for a very short time. 5 seconds might be generous. Definitely not 10. How long would you want them to stay on? If you unlock your car just to vacuum it, would you want them on that whole time?
