Default Xenon problem...need advise bad!!!!!

Today i installed my xenon conversion kit with eurostyle lights from lltek. This kit came preassembled, all that was required was to mount the ballast and starter and plug everything else in. I installed the one with help from an professional installer (an aquantance) and it worked just fine. Bright and clear just as i had expected. I next installed the other side (with his assistance) but and once again it lit up just fine except there was a slight flickering from that light. I thought that maybe it was just "warming up", i let in stand for a while but the flickering wouldn't stop. After about 10 minutes the light went out completely. I unhooked all the wires and reconnected them remove any doubt that it was just a bad connection on my part. It came on again....flickering. I honestly wouldn't think anything of it but the other side works perfectly. Once again i removed all the connections and reconnected them, only this time the light didn't come on at all. I put my lights on and off a couple times and eventually the one light finally came back on...flickering. I repeated this procedure hoping that i would find the loose connection but there is none. The only solution to making the one lazy light stay on is to flash the lights on and off 10-20 times or repeatadaly knocking the light with my hand. I don't know if something is defective or there is something wrong within the bulb, but frankly i don't care, for $1000 it should work flawlessly. What do you guys recommend or what do you think the problem is?

btw...when the are both working, they look REALLY nice, and the clear sides look nice as well.

Default perhaps it's not the bulb?

if it's flickering, I'd check the ballast. But I don't have xenons, so take my advice with a grain of salt/sand/sugar/non-dairy creamer.

Default Hmmm - when you knocked with your hand, were you impacting the ballasts, bulbs, or both?

I'd say you either have a loose connection somewhere (which you say you have ruled out), or your ballasts are malfunctioning.

I'd send that one back.

I was knocking the light housing itself.

Default Sounds like a bad ballast. Friend had his lights burn out but SPP replaced the

ballast and bulbs since they were under warranty just to be safe. I'd see if anyone local w/ the same setup could let you swap and check to see if it is indeed that. You can rule one thing out at a time.

OK, my point was - Do you think this could've been transmitting shock to the ballast?

Default Thats what i figured (ballast or starter) but.....

as far as i see it, it's LLteks responcibility to rectify this situation. If even one connector is defective then the whole light is going back for a new one. I can be knocking on my $500 light everytime i want to drive at night.

Default It's certainly possible, i mounted the ballast on the...

bottom of the plastic bracket that the housing rests upon....underneath the housing

Try taking hte housing out, and tapping the housing and ballasts separately. Guessing ballast tho.
