Cali 91 octane rating=APR chip?

Cali 91 octane rating=APR chip?
Anyone having trouble w/ knocking/pinging ? I have APR newest chip for my 99.5 1.8T. 85 to 100 degree outside temp and I'm hearing some knocking . Anyone else? APR says chip ok w/ 91 octane but I'm skeptical now...

i have been in stock mode for about two weeks now because of knocking with the APR chip

Is it knocking because of the gas in AZ or is it the heat?
I'm in the process of chipping and I'm looking for as much info as I can find. I'm in Florida and we have 93 and 94 octane gas BUT it's also hot as hell down here (the heat index for the last two weeks has been 100 to 105). Alot of the guys in the Central Florida Quattro club have the APR chip with no problems, that I know of. If you had 93 octane gas would you still ping from the heat?

the FMIC is ready as well as the cat but im waiting on the exhaust
we are waiting for everything to be on the car
so we can tune a "custom" chip for the whole setup to take advantage of the FMIC and cat since they aren't in the base kit
unfortunatly, i have to leave the car for a day or two to have the exhaust fabricated and fit,
and i need my car right now so i have two wait
just a littile longer
