Default How do you take off the interior C pillar cover?

I have had a recurring problem with my C pillar cover. This is what looks like a cloth covered, foam backed cover (over an airbag I assume).
The cover has been replaced by dealer 3 times now. Each time I get what looks like dried white sweat marks or salt marks, creeping up from the bottom of the cover. I assume this is glue seeping thru the cloth material. I want to take the C pillar cover off myself to see whats behind there that may be causing the problem. I find it hard to believe that if it is glue on the cover seeping thru, that I get 3 bad ones in a row. Its also very hot in Atlanta, could be the heat accelerating whatever this is. It cannot be overspray from when I got tinted as it was replaced once before I got tinted and 2x after I got tinted. I could try to clean it myself, but hey - it's under warranty, they should fix it good as new.

Sounds like a leaky sunroof to me.

Default Just pull

I was researching this topic just last week through the archives, and there's one or two threads that talk about this. The gist was that you pull, slowly, starting from the top and work your way down. No bolts or anything, just a bunch of stubborn clips holding it in place.

Any precautions due to the airbag? Take out a fuse? or don't worry about it?

No way possible. The C pillar is too far back and the mark is too defined to that component.

Default Well, awhile back someone reported the same symptom, and the cause was a leaky sunroof...

The water doesn't pass through the headliner, but does pass through the c pillar
