Default coilover time...need help

I'm looking at H&R's, Koni's, and KW's. I can get the H&R's at almost cost because I am owed a favor. Same with the Koni's. I really like the specs on the KW's. Even though they are $1850. Any help or advice?

Default try and drive in each setup first

I personally feel the Koni's are too soft and don't offer as much as the H&R's. The H&Rs feel more "stable" to me. As for the KW's, I've never driven them.

Default I want it stiff because I have Bilstein/Neuspeed now and ....

its not enough. My friend has a Civic with coilovers and he kills me in the corners.

Default You'll love the KW's then!

I had them set at 1.75 turns from full soft, and the highway ride was too stiff for me, but on the switchbacks, the car handled wonderfully! I also had them set at 1.25 turns, and that was too soft, so don't go there.

Alternatively, you could get the H&R S4 coilovers (stiffer than the A4 specific coilovers). I haven't ridden in these, but if you're looking for *stiff*, the A4 specific coilovers may be too soft for you.

The H&R's would be the S4 version. That's what was recommended

there is no such thing as S4 specific H&R CO's anymore - it's now the A4/S4 CO

Default That may not be true.

That's a rumor that was started here. A few weeks ago I talked to Todd@AWE, and asked him about this. His reply was that he never heard anything about merging the two products into one. To his knowledge, H&R still offers two specific coilover packages for the A4 vs. the S4. Has anyone actually called H&R to verify this?

Default I spoke with H&R...

and they told me that they were the same product now. Also, on the box it now says A4/S4 Coilover. For the record though, H&R reps have been known to give out false info

Default I love my KW's

They are not $1900 any longer. New Dimensions sells them for $1599, I paid a bit less than that for mine a year or so ago.

Take a look at these pictures:

Same turn, and slightly different lines, but you can see a huge difference. He is running the H&R Sports and Bilstein Sports. The cars are basically the same, same rear sway bar, and upper strut bar. Only difference is the suspension.
