people with H&R coilovers, some questions....
compared to stock sport suspension how is the ride? any rougher, etc?
will my factory 225/45/17 tires w/17" x 7.5" wheels rub at all if i have the car set at the lowest perch??
what swaybar if any are you using?
comparison to handling with and without swaybar..
thank you...need some research before i dump $1249 into my car
I love 'em!
The ride is considerably firmer than the sport suspension, but under most conditions quite good. You WILL, however, feel sharp bumps in the road. If roads are bad in your area, you may want to track someone down locally for a test ride.
I have the stock 16" wheels so I can't speak to that point. My swaybar is also the stock sport bar.
The handling with the addition of the coilovers is excellent. Really first rate. The limits of the car are (fortunately!) a good ways beyond my driving limits.
Overall, the ride is a bit tough over rough roads, but I have been very happy with the handling improvements.
Cheers,
For a 1 finger gap all around, set bottom of lower spanner to the following...20 threads from bottom in the rear, and 38 threads from bottom in the front.
For a 2.5 finger gap in front and just under 2 in the back, set it at 32 threads in back, and 52 threads up front.
If you want to adjust it to your tastes, you'll find that roughly 12 threads = 1 finger (scientific, isn't it?).
Again, I have counted these threads from the bottom of the shock, to the bottom of the lower spanner.
