Cross-over point of 'subs' on 2000 Bose factory system
I just posted this on the Audio forum, but the action there is minimal.
I am having an amp and 8" sealed Solo-baric installed on Friday.
Does anyone know the cross-over point of the factory 'subs'?
One shop I talked with about a JL Audio Stealth box said that the factory 'subs' were removed with that set-up, so the 8's could vent through the existing holes, and the amp was set to 'full range', utilizing the factory cross-over point.
It may make sense to do the same thing with a Solobaric, if the cross over point is low enough.
Any input is appreciated.

In my A6, sub doesn't sound crossed at all, or much....
Take of the panel that covers it, and you can hear the midrange very well. In the A6, it is in a compartment in the rear corner of the trunk.
I like to get an adjustable crossover and play with it to tame midbass boom while trying to make a seamless transition.
Using the same values with a different woofer is generally not very helpful, as the woofer response itself affects results.
You probably want to roll it off around 80-120 Hz.
