borla versus APR

borla versus APR
about a $400 difference, but i'm really curious as to how everybody likes their setup. what do you think of the sound? i've never heard borla, only APR (which sounds great). borla is supposed to be a lot louder. anybody got opinions on this?

I have a Borla. It is indeed very loud...
It's not bad when just driving around normally. Perhaps a bit ricey sounding, but not loud. At full throttle, though, it's *very* loud. Enough so that people on the sidewalk next to you will sometimes jump. And if you are in a parking garage and give it full throttle, you can set off car alarms on a couple floors worth of cars. 
I guess, with an exhaust this loud, I'd want to have more power to justify the sound. Nothing worse than a car that looks and sounds loud, but isn't.

Everybody keeps telling me that, but darn it... mine's loud. :)
I've never actually ridden in anyone else's A4 with a Borla, though. I've stood next to them while they started the car and such, but I've never heard any other Borlas at full throttle.
Maybe I'm just a wimp and think it's loud when it isn't. But I know for a fact, at full throttle, I can set off many car alarms in parking garages. I've done it a few times already. It's the infamous sandblaster sound that does it. To clarify, the exhaust isn't very loud when idling or under normal driving conditions; it's only under full throttle that the thing gets silly.

Wow, I must *definitely* have something different than you...
Sedate is not a word I would even remotely consider using to describe my Borla. However, I do have the Neuspeed/Borla, so maybe that's different than the regular Borlas. Interesting. I definitely want a ride in someone else's Borla 1.8t now. Something is amiss!
