Did the licencse plate mod on my lunch break..
Cutting the frame with the dremel took some time but was really easy to do... Then putting on the licencse with the frame was a bit tricky..
You can't use the nylon spacers, the screws are not long enough, but with out those it fits fine with the screw caps and what have you.. I think it looks nice and I suggest it to anyone wanting to do a quick mod...

the mod is when...
When you get a license plate frame for the rear, the black plastic mount sticks out below the frame, exposing itself. The mod just cuts it so that you don't see it. My only problem is how to take off the black plastic thing. It seems like it's attached not only with screws but also with 3M tape or something.

No I don't have the FAQ..more (and what this mod is)
Its pretty easy though, just take off the blake spacer behind the licensce plate and trim off what is not behind the plate..
Really just cutting off the black on the bottom that sticks out and the two corners..
This mod is to make the plate fulsh with the black spacer behind it, it needs to be done if you want to add a frame to the back of your car.
I will take pics and have them up in a couple days.

You know that black strip that shows at the bottom of your license plate?
This mod removes that for a clean look.
The license plate is screwed into a black plastic backing that is hex screwed into your car.
Remove license plate
Remove hex screws. Pull Black plastic backing off of car (it is held on by some black goo - just pull. Leave car in sun for awile to loosen it up)
Use a Dremel -w- cutting wheel and take off @1/2" of the bottom. Don't use fastest speed as the plastic will melt as you cut. There is a honeycomb pattern on the back of this black backing. A horizontal honeycomb is at exactly 1/2" - a perfect guide for you.
Once it is cut, use a sanding drum and smooth it. This part is messy.
Restick the black backing (no need for additional adhesive) onto your car. Hex screw it on. Screw in your license. Viola!
