Replacing Brake Pads as in FAQ Question

How difficult is the brake pad replacement as described in the FAQ. Any input from people that have done it would be great.Thanks, Howard Kim 98 A4 1.8tms(neu)

A piece of cake. after the hex bolts come off and the spring is off they are apart. Be sure to remove the caps covering the hex bolts. Use some break Quiet on the inner pad the one with the prongs - and spread the prongs apart so it fits in tight to avoid squeel - this is important if you don't want to mess with them again.

Corey and I did his....

The hardest part was :1) The first one we did 2) Depressing in the brake doohickey, so that the shoe would fit (the brake fluid rises as you do it.)I would suggest doing it with a friend. We did all four of his brake shoes...and my two front brembro brake rotors in about 2.5 hours. Atleast I think we did. :-)Steve S. 97 2.8QM
