Some have chipped from day 1, others have waited for a few thousand miles. Personally, I'd wait approx. 2,000-3,000 miles if I were to do it all over again. Depends on how self-restrained you are...
When chipping, the Turbo only gets really effected by the chip when it is really spooling up, meaning when it us under heavy acceleration. And when you are breaking in your A4, you should not be under heavy acceleration... So, if you will be able to keep yourself from accelerating hard, then there is no problem with getting the chip early. But if you are gonna test out your chip the day you get it, then that should wait until after your break in.<br>One other thing to think about is whether there are any other components that may break just due to being faulty. For example, if you have a bad turbo and it breaks after 500 miles, but you haven't chipped, it will be replaced no problem. But if you chipped it immediately and they find out about it, will they replace the turbo for free? Dunno. <br>Personally, I waited until 5000 miles (but before my 5000 mile service).<p>Dank<br>1.8T Neusped<br>
