If the polishmaster rays random oribtal, then well.. it's random orbital.

A $100 porter cable makes detailing the car go A LOT quicker. It takes about 4 hours to wash, clay bar, dry, glaze, and wax my car. clay barring takes up about 30 minutes of that entire process, and you only do that once a year, if that frequently. You can probably cut that time down to 2 hours with a buffer.

Default Orbitals are great for waxing

As long as it's a random orbital polisher. make sure it has a cushy sponge or foam pad. The porter cable polisher is a highly recommended polisher. I use a craftsman and it works great. Cuts the polishing/waxing time down considerably.

Default I had my car professionally detailed twice by professionals using orbital buffers.........

and twice swirl marks appeared after the wax wore off.

Ever since then I do it myself by hand. The results have been much better, with no swirl marks at all.

Default Sort of

Neuspeed sells two different rear bars for the FWD. I don't recall what the sizes were, but they were bigger than the 19/22 that they carry for the quattro. I believe they also carry one for the fronts, but that's the same as the quattro.

Default Definitely. I highly recommend the Porter-Cable 7424.

I don't know anything about the Polishmaster, but you want to get a Random Orbital Buffer. I use the Porter-Cable on my Brilliant Black A4 and it produces wonderful results.

You'll use the buffer to apply the glaze and wax, but not to buff it off; still do this by hand with 100% cotton diapers. I use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (with the speed of the buffer at "1"), and I've also used the Machine Glaze. I use One Grande Blitz wax for waxing. It's a carnuba wax that lasts a long time, but it's easy to buff off.

Default Do you happen to know the stock sizes of the FWD/quattro front/rear swaybars and whether they...

...solid or hollow?
