So I got the 18" RE's on the car now...I noticed the tire dudes only put in 35 lbs of air...

I found this out after about 40 miles of driving...so I doubt there's any tire damage (there damn well better not be) my first tip off was the ride was as good if not better than my 17" wheels and tires. I hopped out and checked...uhh ohh only 35 lbs. weak trash. So I popped into the gas station and pumped em up to 40 lbs which was just a value I guessed at since I used to run 37~38 cold on my Oettingers in 17"

So I guess the question is...is 40 lbs enuf, what are other people running? I guess it's a compromise between ride quality and wheel protection. If you go too far either way you jeopardize the wheel...aka hard *** tire = bent wheel too.

nothing wrong with running at 35.. this allows your suspension to absorb

whereas running at more pressure it takes an adverse affect on the rims.

I met an Aw'er that was running 40 front and 38 rear on 19's...in downtown CHICAGO, no problems.
