I am debating whether to get the Garrett chip installed in my 1998 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. My question is, will the increased redline to 7100 rpm be bad on the engine? Is increasing the redline from 6200 to 7100 rpm safe on the 1.8T engine? Anyone with GIAC (Garrett) chips installed in their A4's, please respond to this message and let me know how the chip works in your A4.
