my new 1999 a4

i just bought a 99 a4 1.8t not a quattro. when i was checking out the car i saw there was a box with a chip in it. the box said GIAC. the new chip is already in the car and i was just wondering is this a good chip and what does it exactly do? i would appreciate it thank you

You should have approx 197 HP now instead of the stock 150 HP. Lucky you. :-)

Me got a GIAC chip...I got a 2001..but same thing..

It means you got a faster than stock car :-D

not be rude,but an Audi without Quattro is just a car!

quattro make the car. I hope your planing to keep your car for a long time because its going to be hard trying to get rid of it.

if you don't need it, then lighter weight and nice burnouts are a plus. I couldn't live w/o it tho'

I like my fwd.

I mean, Quattro would be nice....but this is the best FWD car I've driven.
