two newbie questions: leasing and snow tires....
1. if i am currently leasing the vehicle, at any point during the lease can i pay for the entire vehicle? or do i have to wait until the full 36 months are up to then purchase the car?
2. the car manual says that factor installed tired and wheels cannot be used with snow-chains... i am assuming this means i will need to buy snow tires for the car then, since the chains cannot be used on the ones that came with the car, correct?

You can't use chanis not because of the tires, but because of the tight clearances in the front.....
suspension. The chains will come into contact with some very expensive bits under there, and that is not good. If you must travel into snowy areas, get some real snow tires, or at least, some VERY good aggressive tread all seasons.

1. You will probably have to pay a penalty for terminating the lease early, and then they will most likely let you buy the car, but don't expect a good deal on it.
2. Even with snow tires, I'm not sure if it's safe to put on chains. I've heard that there is very little space for them. Maybe if you get a smaller width tire, not sure. However, if you get a set of good winter tires, with quattro, you will probably not need the chains anyway.
