Great buy on an odd size tire. Should I get them?
I have a chance to get 4 new tires mounted and balanced for only $200. They are a tire I was looking at anyways, the Bridgestone Potenza RE 950s. I was considering a 225/50/16 for my A4 1.8T,Q,Tip, Stock Suspension. The store with the great deal, going out of business sale, only has them in a 215/55/16. I know this size will cause an error of 2.5% in the speedometer. Will it cause any adverse, noticable effect in shifting of the Tip transmission? How about noticable effects on accelleration?. Will they fit without rubbing issues? I have the stock non-sport suspension and may only lower 1.4" at the most in the future. The deal is tempting, about 50% less then anywhere else, but if there will be problems then I will get a 225/50 size instead
