Thoughts after a day with a A6 2.7T...
- has all the options the S4 should have come with: seat memory, dual climate control, rear heated seats, remote trunk release, all windows one touch up and down.
- I wonder if any of these could be ported to the S4? hmmm.
- steering wheel is a bit thinner, has stereo controls but not Tip controls
- Tip had to literaly pounded to shift up, soft touch to downshift though.
- brakes felt better than my S4, less pedal effort maybe.
- power steering was much easier to turn than S4
- thought it felt quick, then I got back in my S4 tonight and my Tip S4 is quite a bit snappier.
- fog lights are really useless, could hardly see them come on.
- I liked the white backlit numbers on the gauges
- I liked the what seemed to be a slightly larger LCD in the center, did it have more info?, my S4 LCD in the dash seemed shorter.
- seats are much flatter but comfy on 2 hour commute.
- had plenty of getup, tire squeal around corners at full throttle--D.C. was terrible today, 20mins to go 1 block!!!!
- gas mileage seemed 2-3mpg less than my S4 w/Tip.
All-in-all, if I needed more room this would be on the list. If a non-turbo'd version had the same pep I'd probably go for it so I would have to worry about the cool down times, just get in and go.
Dealer also had an All-Road, it was dark so I didn't get a good look at the grey/green seats. Looks good in person, especially if you live on gravel roads or will experience "real" snow this year.
my 1/2 cent.

'00 S4 w/Tip
Not nearly as snappy as the S4 but very comfy.
