Went pretty well.. (more)
They did a great job of getting the car from me -- came in from Oneonta, NY over the weekend, and looked *completely* mint -- no swirl marks, perfectly clean, everything. The sales guy (Bill Sacks) was a bit rushed with me, but I have a feeling that was due to the whole end-of-month mania at the dealership, rather than anything else.
They did successfully get it registered for me in NY with plates and everything within 1 day, which was quite good.
I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase, and would probably go back to them again if I were to purchase another Audi.
There's a pretty laser red-on-onyx with silver alcantara in the showroom right now.. wow, what a combo. Very, very sexy looking car.

I ordered mine at the end of August (more)
Can't remember the sales guys name off the top of my head but they he was very helpful. Big tall fellow. Had me drive an A6 4.2, S4 and even a TT just to be sure. Then went for a second ride in the S4 to make my decision. Got a good deal and they were happy to order what I wanted. Waiting for Nogaro 6spd, Onxy/Alacantra, everything except the Blose system and the phone. I can hardly wait. So tell me is it awesome or what?

I love it -- it's everything I expected and more -- more powerful, quieter, better handling, and better fit-and-finish.. of course, I need a *lot* more practice driving stick before I can really put it to good use :P I've driven all automatics prior to the S4, and haven't really driven much at all over the last 3 years because I've been living in NYC. Takes some getting used to, to say the least.
Had a nice, pleasant cruise up the Hutch to the Merritt though... verrrry satisfying on the highway. Mmm.
