Default BLOWN THROTTLE BODY BOOT AGAIN!!!!

I have gone through 3 blown TBB within 1 year. One more blown TBB and I will lemon the car. This is so annoying. Now the rubber hose at the reservoir carrying the washer fluid is cracked after I sprayed the nozzle for the first time. My Imola S4 has been in the dealer's shop more than in my own garage. Every month there is something new broken since I own the car last November. Is there anybody else out there with similar experience?

Default Did you replace the clamps at the same time as the TBB?

The latest bulletin has new clamps listed along with the TBB. I think the old clamps allowed for overtightening, which would assist the tearing process greatly.

Default fastm3? What does that have to do with an S4? This sounds BS.

I could beleive this story easily, but it just sounds like an m3 owner trying to stir up trouble. If you want to solve this problem, try getting some better bypass valves, It's helped me. I haven't blown any TBB's since I installed bailey valves in my car. I did blow one on my last car though....

Default The new clamps allow for overtightening as well...

...just don't overtighten them (I overtightened them when I first got them, thinking it should be fully screwed down -- WRONG), although the new clamps look like they would be less likely to cause a tear than the old clamp when overtightened.

Yes I am a M3 & Porsche owner as well as a S4 owner. I am not trying to create trouble here, just want to find out if anyone has the same problem. The dealer replace all 3 TBB. Where can I get a bailey valve?

I agree its a cheap repair but why does it breaks all the time? Its not a matter of $12 and 15 mins. Its the principle that I should be enjoying the car instead of having to deal with broken parts all the time. I have never had one month that is without any problems.

Thanks for this info. I don't know if the clamps are new or not since the dealer replace them. They should know better. I'll ask them on the next visit soon.
