APR EMCS - good?

this chip is already installed in the 2000 s4 i am looking at -

is this good ?
"APR EMCS chip upgrade, which allows you to change from stock mode to stage 1 and back right from the driver's seat"

Si, es muy bueno...

...although be aware that it *might* affect your warranty, should you ever have to make a powertrain claim.

can someone give me the lowdown on s4 performance

#s and the numbers i can expect from this stage 1 thanks i just started looing at s4s today and i know they rock i just want some #'s

0-60 in 4.0, 1/4 in 10.5

Noooooo problem!

Chipped S4 = 0-60 in 5.1-5.3 depending on who's driving and the conditions.

1/4 = 13.9-14.3, I *think*

Performance...

Stock:

0-60: 5.5-5.6; 1/4: 14.1-14.2@98 (good runs of course)

APR Stage I:

0-60: 5.0-5.1; 1/4: 13.6-13.7@102-103 (good runs of course)

After 100, the chipped car will pull still pull like a freight train, and probably beats a stock S4 to 130 by a good 5 seconds. Around town, the torque of a chipped S4 is just insane. Doing 40mph in 4th and want to pass someone with authority, just floor it and go...no downshift necessary. Unchipped, downshift necessary for authority.
