This is peobably once again due to European legislation. In Europe, Xenon headlamps can only be fitted in conjunction with automatic headlamp levelling and headlamp washers.
If you remove your lefthand front wheel you will see a linkage which goes from the lower wishbone to a small witch or poti. this registers the movement of the body in relation to the wheels and activates an electric motor which tilts the headlamps up or down as necessary so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic.

no but the middle finger of the person in front of me often does!
Seriously I don't know what it is but these xenons **** people off! I had a guy follow me into a parking lot just to tell me that he "nearly wreched his car after being completely blinded by my headlights" oh well... I think I will get them aimed lower at my next tune up.

The sharp cutoff accentuates the "jiggle." I cannot think of any vehicle I have owned where the headlights did not appear to have jiggled when going over harsh bumps. I'm not talking about minor road upsets but train tracks and the like. (no I have not put fake xenons in a Honda etc. . .)
Also, the post by JoshD is annoying. The people who are flippin', flickin', and followin' him need to get a life. I pass no less than six xenon Audi's on the way to and from the office. This is a two lane road with variable speed traffic and inclines/declines in the road. At no time have I ever been "blinded" by any Audi sporting xenons. If I am stupid enough to stare at the oncoming headlight, yes it may appear very bright.
Virtually in high intensity light whether it be halogen or xenon is rather bright if you are not too bright and stare right into it. These people are just trying to find an excuse to bit*@ at another driver. As someone posted here the other day they are all "Big Stupids."

I'm glad to here this is "normal". I keep looking for a loose mount, now I can stop. Funny,this is the first time I have seen this mentioned on the forum and I have had my S4 for 13 months.
