I've entered the dark world...

I picked up my Silver S4 last night. I'm still pumped about it this morning. My salesman said to "take it easy for the first 1000 miles", but even driving it gently, I could easily get in trouble. :-) Other traffic seems so slow now...
BTW, it has the "new" S4 badge, and (thank God) came with Pirelli P6000's(not great, but at least they're not Potenza's.) Hopefully I won't have to worry as much about defects.

Ordered - Aug 28th
Start Production - Sept 13
Finished Production - Oct 16
Picked up - Nov 1

I haven't seen anyone else say they have it, so maybe...

Sound off if you've got the new S4 badge!
BTW, I wasn't sure if I'd like the new badge, but it's growing on me. IMHO you can really see the name "S4" much better. (This may be good, or bad, depending on who you ask.)

JT,

Was Sept. 13th the "D" status date for your S4? I'm waiting for an Avant and was told mine hit that status last week. I'm trying to estimate my delivery date (since the dealer doesn't seem to have a clue yet) and if all things end up equal, I'm looking pre-Christmas. That would be good.

Also, where are you located and do you know what port your car came through?

My salesman never told me any "status", he just called on Sept 13th and..

said that my car was "going to the production line today". Also, I'm pretty sure that he said that mine was coming in through a port in NJ, but he failed to name it. I live in northern WV.

Thanks. That sounds like D to me from what my salesman described. I'm in the Midwest so mine should come through Houston. That'll probably add a couple of days but that's not too bad.

Looks like it'll be a Merry Christmas after all. I was hoping I didn't have to wait through the Holidays.
