would you pay $9K more to step into a '01?
i know, i know it's my money so i should do whatever i want. but, i've been thinking about trading my '00 in for a '01. it would also be an avant this time as i have always wanted one.
the $9K includes a 4/50 warranty, new turbos and basically a new car. oh, and ESP. forget depreciation on my car, that's a given. whadya think?
i'm thinking nogaro avant or imola... sedan right now is nogaro. i love it but maybe i want something different...
i know it doesn't make alot of sense in dollar terms but as far as stepping into a shiny new car, it may be. i just want to start my s4 journey over again.
the downside is that my sister has a laser red s4 avant coming in. that would make two s4 avants. seems kinda overkill. i wish she ordered the sedan...
and the avant is so that my future dog (hopefully, another german shepherd) has his own pad in the car. if no avant, no german shepherd

I have the same dilemma.
I think I am going to wait. I don't want and can't afford to take a big hit on my current car. There will also be another car in a year or so that I would want so when does it stop?
Perhaps the S6 Avant will come out in a few years. That would be my car of choice. I would even take an A6 Avant with the 2.7T (if they had one) and modify the suspension to have a more sporty ride. Not sure if I want the allroad since I don't need the off-road capabilities and would prefer better handling characteristics. I really might look at one when they hit the local dealers.
