It is in the A4, so it's probably a safe bet.

Default Yes, it is. It also "dents" very easily
If you have someone in the car and they start tapping on it with their fingernail, "Is this real aluminum" slap their hand. I've got a small dent in mine from someone doing that.
It is real aluminum

Carefull when releasing the seatbelt. I have banged mine up when the "buckle" hits it.
