OK I am SOOOO confused about tires...someone help me out...
Supposedly Bridgestone SO3's are some of the best tires money can buy according to many people. Then how is it that SO3's cost less than SO2's on tire racks website. And how are there Michelin Pilots Sports that cost $199, $209, and $261 on tire racks website for 225/40/18? What is the difference between the 3. And if money is no object, what are the best tires between those 2 brands. And which is quieter?

probably trying to get rid of excess inventory before winter
makes sense since they probably don't want to have inventory of a "summer" tire through the winter & i guess they don't have a glut of Pilots or S-02s.
but if you really want to spend more money, then go w/the Pilot Sports
FWIW i'm on my 2nd set of S-03s (1st set was on my stock rims)

I had no ideal why S02 is more expansive then S03..
Perhapes a more or less a promotion on the part of S03?
Many here finds S03 not that much better then S02 which is hard to beat.
Almost all recommand S02PP above the sports.
I never owned these tires nor do I plan on because of my budget and the price of these tires. I'm just passing on what I've seen and heard.
Do you track? If not the more expansive tires and low tread wear rating on these high performance tires may not make sense.

haha we must have just missed each other..i went there too
i would normally suggest parking in the alexandria parking lot and to not worry about paying the parking pass, but they've actually started enforcing that lot in the last few weeks(saved my roommates car from being towed away one weekend he was out of town).
