awd/turbo goes 8's
Thought some of you might be interested in the following, since like me
you own(ed) a previous awd/turbo in the form of a DSM. I went to the DSM
shootout one year and got a ride in a 1g Talon that went low 12's: the
launch was neck-snapping. Hard to imagine how Glazar's car must launch...

Sean Glazar went 8.87 @ 153 with a 1.39 60 ft today at Maple Grove and
backed it up with a 8.90 beating the fwd neon (who blew up on that run btw)
and winning the event and taking over the points lead from Brent Rau. Rau
broke a xfer case and got it repaired to run again where he slept at the
light and got spanked
John Sheppard beat Jeff Hill in the finals of the
so-called "street" class. Shep ran a 9.90 to Hill's 10.1. Don't recall
what happened to Curt Brown but he ran a high 10 early in the day but got
bounced from street. Pruven, Wrightouch, and Big Len were no shows. Vinny
Ten went an easy 8.4.
